Biography:
Margaret
Sanders was born in Western Australia and worked as a historian
before studying Printmaking at the ANU Institute of the Arts.
Margaret has lived in Adelaide since 1994 where she has been involved
in a range of community arts and curatorial projects which have
concerned print and paper-based art works.
Her recent work has been a series of investigations of the dry country
of southern Australia, Across the Mallee,(2002) On the Sandplain,(2004)
Floribundant, (2005) and Extant,(2006).
Margarets linoprints detail the patterns of indigenous vegetations
and ecologies of place with aspects of settlement and landscape
change.
Margaret is a member of the Section 1 artist group. |
